German helmet ww2

This helmet is a true veteran of World War II. It's a well-used helmet that have seen many daily life activities of a German soldier of World War II. It's a m-42 late war field repainted helmet. From all the sweat and abuse and age, the liner is fragile but overall it's in good condition for what it is.

There is a faint writing inside the liner and it has the u. Soldiers name written on it and blue and it looks like he crossed out the german soldiers name. This came out of a VFW building in New Jersey. I have never research the soldiers name but he's listed and is from New Jersey. ET64 marked and cannot find a batch number which i think they stopped using them.
