German WW2 M40 Helmet withChicken Wire, veterans estate collection

A nice original German WW2 M40 Helmet w/Chicken Wire from a WW2 veterans estate collection... I'm not an expert on these so this is the best of my knowledge and research I've done... Helmet is good used condition showing wear and use, also some surface oxidation spots with the worse being by the front left rivet... The liner appears to be a replacement along with its shoestring..

The Chin Strap is missing.... Chicken wire is good condition and extremely tight. The family says this helmet (Chicken Wire) has been this way for as long as they could remember....

Helmet is marked on inside rear - 231 and inside left side - ET66...1st time offering - watch for other US and German Helmets I'll be listing from the same collection......
