German Ww 2 Police Medical Helmet

What I believe is a WW 2 medical police helmet with original liner. I can not tell for sure if it is aluminum or some kind of composite, It is light.

It is marked inside vorson leichmer. It also has a 2 letter marking o or d. Any Information gladly received, this is out of my area of expertise.
