ORIGINAL German WW2 M35 reissue whitewashed combat helmet

For sale is a well used M35 helmet that has had the early apple green painted over with a brush is a coarse dark field gray. Because of the thick reissue paint I cant clearly make out the maker and size but I believe it is an ET64, lot number can't be seen. Signs of a Heer decal can be seen with a loupe under the overpaint but can't I see any signs of a tri color.

The field grey has then been whitewashed which has left the helmet surface with a white motley look. Inside the field grey has been painted thickly around the skirt which has also covered the liner band and chinstrap bales in places. The liner is 100% original to the helmet and is still supple, with some chaffing, taking on a darkened appearance from wear. The tie string is still in place but is broken. The apple green still covers the inside of the dome from the liner band up.

The chinstrap is still supple, has been shortened and retains some field grey finish on the buckle. A great used combat helmet with much character that no doubt had a long service life.
