All of us have read about the Great Sport of Fencing and the Elite Soldiers and even Generals of the German Military who loved and Sported Fencing. This Cap Carries so much history, its really a time capsule. You will see on the inside lining of the cap, it has been Autographed by the Fencing teammates of the the individual that this cap once belonged. You will also notice on the top of this very rare cap, that there are 3 Holes.
These holes were made by the Actual Fencing Sword they used in Sport. Every time the Fencing team would have a Victory over there Opponent, they would take there sword and puncture the top of there Cap, the Hand Embroidered Oak Leaves and the date of the Victory. This Fencing Cap has 3 such Victory's recorded on it. Germany's Elite used these caps in there Sport of Fencing and a Very Rare Cap this Is!! This cap is 100% to the time period, every part of the Cap was hand put together, all Original!The interior of the cap is in Excellent condition for its age and the Visor is nice and tight to the cap. I do Not have the insignia's for this cap.
Everything is Correct with the Cap, nothing has been Tampered with. Extremely Rare to find one these days, that is untouched, in Fact this is the only Original dated piece from 1934 that I have Ever Come Across in this Special Sport of Fencing!
