Original WW2 german helmet with ww1 camo pattern, liner, and chinstrap size 56

This is an original WW2 German m42 combat helmet. This helmet is complete with original liner and chinstrap.

This helmet is one of a kind because of its ww1 pattern camouflage. The camo was painted on by the German solider who went into battle with the helmet. However, a thin shiny coating of paint perservative was added (most likely by a collector in the 70s) to preserve the beautiful ww1 pattern camo this helmet was used with. The liner is in beautiful undamaged condition, and the chinstrap is in one pice and functional. This is a beautiful piece of history that endured one of the most gruesome wars imaginable.
