WW2 GERMAN CAMO HELMET WITH FULL WIRE BASKET NET and BULLET HOLE

This helmet has what looks like brown and green camo. It has the full wire basket and head liner. The string in the center of liner is missing and also the chin strap is missing, but it has the brackets where the chin strap goes. The bullet hole is a 30 cal. Hole coming in the front and going out the back of helmet. I knew the WW 2 vet who came home after the war with this helmet. I cannot find the numbers on the inside of the helmet. If someone wanted to restore this helmet I don't think it would be hard to fix the holes and dings, but for me I liked it just like it is.
