WW2 German Helmet

I received this helmet from a WW2 veteran and he told me it was used by the Air Force. Please look at all pictures, the liner is original to this helmet and is dated 1940 in the liner band. The size and maker is SE-64 and the lot number is 7597. It has almost all its original paint as well.
