Ww2 German Helmet M40 Quist Dn 501 Vet Bring Back Named Usaaf

German WW 2 M40 helmet Vet bring back, marked DN 501 I believe it to be a Quist helmet according to my book. There is a hand painted WW 2 Army Air Force insignia on the front. A penciled signature of the German solider [Korn Werner] in the liner.

The split pins are tight all around. Part of chin strap is present - as shown. Liner is as you see it. Helmet has a blue gray color - maybe Navy?? What you see is what you get.
