Ww2 german helmet m42 with genuine 3 colour camo paint

Ww2 german m42 single decal heer helmet with 3 colour camo paint, stamped hkp made by sachsische emaillier u. Stanzwerke ag in lauter germany size 66 lot no 3844.

This is a lovely genuine 3 colour (so called normandie colour) brush painted helmet , which looks to have first been painted in a tortoise pattern with light and dark green paint. Then dabs of brown added on top to break this pattern up further, the paint also has a texture so i would say sand was added. A single heer decal can be seen under the paint on the lefthand side. This helmet has never been apart its leather linner is complete with all tongues and drawstring however it is dry. There is also a dome stamp but i have never undone the drawstring to look at it properly.
