Ww2 German M40 Kreigsmarine Helmet Shipboard Gray Camo

German WWII M40 steel combat helmet, maker's code / size "Q66" impression stamped into the left neckguard area and lot number "DN421" stamped into the rear neckguard interior. The shell was painted Gray-Green inside and out from the factory, then it was camoflaged in Shipboard Gray paint, 100% guaranteed correct. The decal was completely painted over, the person who had this helmet before me evidently tried to expose the decal with acetone and almost took it all off, thankfully some of it remains. The liner is the standard M31 type, it is very well used and dirty, so the size marking is not visible.

The chinstrap was trimmed by the soldier, so the maker stamp is not there, it is original to the helmet.
