WW2 GERMAN UNIFORM SS STEEL HELMET 2nd PATTERN CAMOUFLAGE COVER OAK LEAF TYPE

WW2 German 2nd Model SS camouflage'oak leaf' steel helmet cover. Good coarse material, most likely of 1944 manufacture, with oak leaf pattern Autumn and Spring reversible. Good hand stitched foliage loops, with correct black enamel steel clips present. Helmet front lip shows use. Faded and soiled overall from use.

One of the springs has been removed, but the other two are present. We have checked the relevant reference books by Baer and Beaver, which corresponds to this piece, as well as showing this to other dealers.
