WW2 Helmet German M35 Relist

This is a restored original Model 1935 German Helmet. It consists of an original M35 Shell and a replacement liner and chinstrap. The shell is an original WWII Model 1935 shell stamped as a size SE60 under the skirt near the left ear and a batch number that reads 4521 at the rear inner skirt.

A size 60 shell is a pinhead size. The shell is in quite good condition.

It had only minor dints in the left crown, surface rust on the outer and rust pitting to the inner dome when acquired. The outside surface was generally good. This is the smallest size production helmet that was manufactured by Third Reich Germany. They are not easy to find but there are limited numbers out there. The liner is a reproduction M1931 helmet liner with galvanized metal band, calfskin liner marked as size 53cm and a cotton drawstring. The leather chinstrap is a replacement with. Fittings, markings on the tongue read? The helmet is painted in the smooth early green utilised up until 1940. The helmet has double decals per the specifications at the time with a Heer (Army) decal on the left and the national tri-colour on the right.
