The German AIr Protection League was formed in 1932 as a voluntary civil defense organization and later evolved into the Reich Luftshutz Bund which also was primarily a voluntary civil defense organization with some full-time staffing. There were several different styles of helmets with the M38 Gladiator style being the most common and the beaded M35 like this one being the rarer. This is a standard beaded M35 in dark blue finish with maybe 60% remaining on the exterior and a nice patina. Some slight dings but nothing too noticeable. Inside is marked on the center rear with what looks like a serial of 141 and Q64 on the right inner flange.
Six finger tan leather liner is dtry and one finger torn. Overall a decent example of the rather rare M35 Luftshutz helmet.
