German WW2 M42 Helmet Shell

Original German WW2 M42 helmet shell. Beautiful factory ordinance tan paint.

Picture shows maker and batch number. This is a war time shell with post war paint. Some believe that these factory tropical painted helmets were to be sent to the Africa corp but the campaign ended before they could be issued. This shell is in mint condition and has no dents or cracks. Totally void of any rust or pitting.
