M42 QUIST Q64 NO DECAL ULTRA-RARE LOT# WW 2 German Helmet ORIGINAL Liner marked 57 nA 64, 1943 DRP. All 3 split rivets with washers intact and undisturbed as are all aluminum liner brads. Leather in very good pliable condition with minimal scuffing. A rare Quist Model M1942, these are nearly always marked with a DN prefix lot#, but this helmet has an unusual 7-digit number at the rear: 3547128 (reasons unknown). Named to soldier Obergfr (Obergefrieter) Senior Lance Corporal.

Factory textured slate gray exterior paint in used condition. Interior is a dark smooth finish, typical of later production Quist helmets. Overall in very good issued condition. NO DOMESTAMP, NO CHINSTRAP, NO DECALS According to known sources, the Quist helmet factory delayed production of their Model M1942 helmet until mid-1944, making the Quist M42 a difficult to find helmet in original condition.
