Comes with the original liner which has not been removed from the helmet. This will break your heart.
It was at one point when it made its way back to the US a full Normandy three color scheme camo helmet with the net. The outside of the shell has cleaned and turned into a motorcycle helmet. The outside of the shell is a nice black but not original finish but the inside still retains most of the multi color camo paint. There are even two small sections of the original netting that were present when the shell was painted, they were hooked under the bent pronges of the rivets.Named to a "Lels" and has the original draw string. Throwing in a quality reproduction chinstrap. Great piece to display the inside, oh what this helmet was! The leather liner has traces of the camo paint on it and so do the ends of the cloth netting. No dings or dents to the shell itself.
Addition to your militaria collection. I do the best I can to describe each item and take great pictures in natural sunlight when possible but please understand that I deal with artifacts that have seen military service, are sometimes over 100 years old, have survived sometimes more than one World War and years of storage.
They are not brand new, off the shelf items with no defects, scratches, nicks etc. If you have any problem with the item(s) just send me a message and we will work something out.
