If you look closely this helmet appears to have been a whitewashed camo helmet before it was painted over again with green and tan camo. The helmet is an EF66 and the lot number is hard to read but appears to be 4566. The leather liner is stiff and the inside dome of the helmet has some rust meaning at one point there was water in the helmet that rusted the inside dome and stiffened the liner. Maybe this happened after the war when helmets were in those huge helmet piles before it was probably picked up by someone.
The helmet also has its chinstrap which is dated 1941. Overall, its a unique and solid helmet.
