For sale are two original German military helmets with the bring back capture document that were acquired at an estate sale of a World War 2 U. Army 44th Infantry Division Veteran.
This is the real deal along with the helmets there were other items from this same veteran which I have listed in other listings. The first helmet is a German Military WW1 M16 helmet and the second is. If you look carefully in the photos of the M35 WW2 helmet you can see on both sides of the helmet where the stickers/emblems used to be. These two helmets are used and have condition issues such dents, scratches, rust, missing paint, etc. Both helmets do have the interior liners with chin straps which also have condition issues so please look at the photos carefully.
The capture document is dated 05/09/1945. It list Corporal Albert Shafter as the soldier bringing back the captured enemy items. This is the veteran of the estate sale where these items were acquired from. The document is approved and examined by Chief Warrant Officer R. Brooks of the 44th Infantry Division.
