WW2 WWII German Transitional Helmet, M18, Liner, Original, Steel, Stahlhelm, Imperial
Hi all, up for sale today is a very nice example of a M18 transitional helmet with a M31 liner system. The liner system is original to this helmet and the liner pins have not been bent or removed. The chinstrap is also a very nice early example. The liner rivets are of a 1930's vintage as discussed in Ken N. S book " Germanys Combat Helmets, A Modern Study" before the 1931 style liner rivets were introduced. There is a slight bend to the liner band as shown in pictures. The helmet is stamped very lightly on the left side ET66. This is a super example and a rare variant that will make a nice addition to your home and collection.
